LynoTV is a media player. LynoTV does not provide, host, sell, resell, broadcast or promote TV channels, playlists, subscriptions, movies, series or any other audiovisual content. Users are solely responsible for adding and using their own lawful sources.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the LynoTV website, the LynoTV application, support communications and technical services used to operate and secure the Service.

This policy does not apply to third-party IPTV providers, playlist hosts, Xtream Codes portals, websites, servers, VPN providers, app stores or services that you choose to use independently of LynoTV. Those third parties have their own privacy practices and legal terms.

3. Data we may process

Information you provide voluntarily: when you contact us, request support, report a bug or send feedback, we may process your name or pseudonym, email address, message content, attachments, technical details you provide and any information included in your request.

Technical and security data: when you visit the website or use the application, we may process IP address, date and time of access, requested pages, device type, operating system, browser or app version, crash reports, diagnostic data, security logs and similar technical data needed to operate, secure and improve the Service.

Application configuration data: LynoTV allows users to enter M3U playlist URLs, Xtream Codes API details and other media source settings. Unless expressly stated otherwise in the application, these settings are intended to be used to connect your device to sources you choose. LynoTV does not host or provide those sources. We do not intentionally collect your playlist content or provider credentials on our own servers unless you voluntarily send them to us for support or unless a clearly identified feature requires such processing.

Optional Premium synchronization: if you explicitly enable this feature, LynoTV stores an encrypted copy of source connection settings together with profile names, favorites, history, resume points, filters and preferences so they can be restored on your authorized devices. Channel, movie and series catalogs, artwork, TV guides, streams and downloaded media are not copied to LynoTV. You may disable synchronization and permanently erase its cloud data from your member area at any time.

Usage and performance data: if analytics or crash-reporting tools are enabled, we may process aggregated or pseudonymous information about app performance, feature usage, errors, device model, operating system version and app version to improve stability and user experience.

Cookies and similar technologies: the website uses strictly necessary cookies for security, sessions, form protection and remembering your choices. No optional audience measurement or advertising tool is currently loaded on the website. If one is added, it will remain blocked until you agree.

Google Play data: if you install LynoTV through Google Play, Google may process certain data under its own policies. We may receive aggregated store, crash, installation or review information made available to developers through Google Play Console.

Beta applications and feedback: when you apply on our website, we process your Google Account address, language, the device type, model and Android version you provide, proof of your agreement to receive test communications, participation status and the feedback you submit. We use this information only to select useful test devices, manage invitations, monitor participation and improve LynoTV. The feedback form must not contain a playlist, M3U URL, Xtream Codes data or any other access credential.

4. Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data only when we have a lawful basis under applicable data protection law, including the GDPR where applicable.

5. Recipients and service providers

We do not sell your personal data.

Your data may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf, strictly for the purposes described in this policy, such as hosting providers, email providers, analytics providers, crash-reporting providers, security providers and app store services.

We may disclose information where required by law, a court order, a competent authority or where necessary to protect our rights, users, security or the integrity of the Service.

6. Third-party playlists and IPTV providers

When you add an M3U playlist, Xtream Codes API details or any other media source, your device may connect directly to third-party servers chosen by you. LynoTV is not responsible for the privacy, security, legality, availability or data practices of those third-party providers.

You should review the privacy policy and terms of any IPTV provider, playlist host, VPN provider or external service you use with LynoTV.

7. Cookies and analytics

Strictly necessary cookies support sessions, security, protection against fraudulent requests and storage of your preference. They do not require consent when they are essential for the service you request.

The banner presents “Reject all”, “Accept all” and “Customize” controls at the same level. Optional “Audience measurement” and “Advertising” categories are disabled by default. No script assigned to either category runs before you agree.

Your choice is stored for six months in the first-party lynotv_cookie_consent cookie. Its value contains only the accepted categories and mechanism version, without a personal identifier. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time through the “Manage cookies” button available on the website.

8. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Data category Indicative retention period
Support and contact requests For the time needed to process the request, then up to 3 years after the last contact unless a longer period is required for legal claims.
Beta applications and feedback For the duration of the programme, then up to 18 months after the last contact so that we can analyse feedback and document the test. You may request withdrawal or erasure at contact@lynotv.com.
Technical and security logs Usually up to 12 months, unless required for security investigation or legal compliance.
Crash reports and diagnostic data Usually up to 12 months or according to the configuration of the relevant provider.
Analytics data Up to 13 months where audience measurement tools are used, or shorter according to tool configuration and consent choices.
Cookie consent or refusal choices 6 months, after which the banner asks you to choose again.
Application playlist settings stored locally on your device Controlled by you on your device until you delete the source, clear app data or uninstall the application.
Encrypted Premium synchronization data Until you disable synchronization, erase cloud data or delete your LynoTV account; incremental technical changes are normally removed after 90 days.

9. International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or equivalent protection mechanisms.

10. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. However, no website, application or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for keeping your own device, provider credentials, playlist URLs and network connection secure.

Android application diagnostics and usage statistics

The Android application may use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance to detect crashes and measure technical performance. It may also use Firebase Analytics, only after your explicit consent, to measure app opening, general screen and feature use, and grouped technical categories relating to search and playback in pseudonymous form.

LynoTV does not send your searches, viewed titles, playlists, source addresses, Xtream credentials or email address to Firebase Analytics. The application removes Android advertising-identifier permissions and disables ad-personalisation signals for Analytics. Usage statistics and diagnostics are disabled by default and have separate settings. You can change your choice at any time in the application settings; disabling usage statistics stops collection and resets the local Analytics data for that installation.

11. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to the processing of, and request portability of your personal data. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, contact us at: contact@lynotv.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

12. Children

LynoTV is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Service, legal requirements or our data practices. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Where required, we will request consent or provide additional notice.

14. Free advertising

When enabled, a Free user may receive a non-personalised interstitial only after a movie or episode finishes naturally on a compatible phone or tablet. Premium remains ad-free. Ads are never shown during playback, for live TV, catch-up, Android TV, Google TV or Fire TV.

Google AdMob supplies and measures these ads. Its SDK may process the IP address, device and application information, ad interactions, diagnostics and technical identifiers needed for delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. LynoTV removes Android advertising-identifier permissions from its manifest and requests non-personalised ads.

Where legally required, Google's consent platform records your choice before any ad request. You can reopen privacy choices from the application settings when they are required. For Google's practices and retention periods, see the Google Privacy Policy.
